Dear friends,
I trust you are safe. I write you from prison, where I have been held captive by Irish Parisian political anarchists since my passport was revoked by the Lilliputians of Orleans. My guitar strings have been cut, my tendons clipped, my pint glass shattered into a million little pieces.
In short, I have been forced to resign as host of open mic to prevent further risk to my already tarnished reputation. I had no choice. I thank you all for your support over the past 18 months of my host career.
Conveniently, our ‘friend’ and political subversionist Tory Roucaud, at great profit to her underground activist organization and waterboarding supplies center, will step in and fill the role of host. She will begin her career as La Presidente on the next Sunday, 3 March at 7:30 pm at Ground Zero of the revolution, McGee’s Anarchist Pub.
I shall attempt to communicate to you again before the week is out. Until then, I feel it is dangerous to attempt to pass information to me. Let us all please try to meet as covertly as possible on the above mentioned date. Speak quietly, bring guitars, drink beer, spend money. In short–make it look like nothing has changed at all.
(I’m serious about the guitar–bring your own, as the hostess’s will disappear before the music ends.)
Viva la revolucion! Remember the Alamo! Gretzky scores!
Ryan
